The black American flag first appeared during the American Civil War of 1861-1865.

Confederate army soldiers flew the black flag to symbolize the opposite of the white flag of surrender.

Made from solid wood (this is not made from a pallet)

Stained black base with the stars and words carved and then painted black. Pictures do not do this flag justice. It’s beautiful!

All 50 stars are engraved into the Union
